South Indian cuisine is known for its aroma, taste, and texture. The South states Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Kerala,  Karnataka, and Telangana have their unique as well as own variants of common dishes with a native touch. Here are a few South Indian dishes that should be on your must-try list.

PESARATTU:

RASAM:

PUTTU AND KADALA:

Puttu is an exceptionally popular breakfast in Kerala. Puttu is made of rice, crafted into a cylindrical shape. Kadala is a curry made from black beans with a dash of coconut and ripe bananas. There is no alternate dessert that could beat payasam among South Indian desserts. This authentic dessert is made from rice, milk, sugar, ghee, chopped dry fruits, and coconut flakes. However, the procedure may vary among the South states using the same ingredients.
